Gender bias and anti-women attitudes continue to persist among educated individuals despite increasing awareness of gender equality and human rights. This study examines the psychological determinants of gender bias and anti-women attitudes among the educated class, with particular focus on perception and educational level. The research employs a qualitative, analytical, and exploratory methodology based on relevant psychological, sociological, and contemporary academic literature.
The study explores the role of cognitive perceptions, socialization, cultural norms, gender stereotypes, traditional gender roles, and patriarchal attitudes in shaping negative perceptions of women. It also examines the relationship between educational level and attitudes toward gender equality, women's rights, and social participation. The study highlights that formal education alone may not eliminate deeply rooted gender prejudice unless it is accompanied by critical thinking, social awareness, ethical development, and respect for human dignity.
The study concludes that gender bias is a multidimensional phenomenon influenced by psychological, social, cultural, and educational factors. Addressing anti-women attitudes therefore requires comprehensive educational and social strategies that promote equality, empathy, critical awareness, and respect for women, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable society.
