Environmental/climate change and public responsibilities and public awareness (In the light of the Prophet's life)

Abstract

Allah has made man his caliph on earth and created the natural resources on this earth for the sake of human beings. But since humans have advanced in the industrial field, natural resources and the environment have been threatened, which is why environmental pollution has become an international challenge in modern times. Therefore, today man is looking for various ways to deal with this challenge, but if today's man in this matter turns to Islamic teachings, especially Sira Tayyaba, then the guiding principles of environmental protection can be obtained. Referring to Sirat -un-Nabi ﷺreveals some styles in this regard. Some of the guiding principles mentioned in the Sirat -un-Nabiﷺare helpful in basic guidance, such as the prohibition of extravagance, the prohibition of oppression, the gratitude for divine blessings, the observance of the rights of worship, and so on. However, there are certain rules and decrees that provide specific guidelines for the protection and proper use of certain natural resources, such as water, trees, agriculture, forests, wind, etc. That some of them have been ordered to perform their duties, Such as the command to plant trees, the command to keep water clean, the command to cultivate, the command to raise animals and to be gentle with them, etc. Such as prohibition of cutting down trees unnecessarily, prohibition of polluting water, prohibition of spoiling fields, prohibition of cruelty to animals, etc. In this article, these demands have been explained in some detail in the light of hadiths.
